What about the future?

When asked about the future of the club I can only look ahead to us being the side we once were, and I think that given time we will be that team again. Every relationship has its ups, and you have to take the good with the bad some might say that in order to appreciate the good times you will have had to have experienced the bad times. Why Liverpool Loaned out Andy Carroll

It seems an apparently crazy decision to have loaned out Andy Carroll and sign no replacement players whatsoever. In fact, it was the second of these decisions that was crazy, although Fenway Sports Group have understandably pointed to the £100 million that Kenny Dalglish spent on players, from which little return has been gleaned as of yet. Carroll was loaned out because, firstly, he does not and will never fit into Rodgers' preferred style of play or system. Are Liverpool going to finish above Everton this season?

At this point in time all the available evidence would seem to point to Everton finishing emphatically above Liverpool. The Toffees have begun the season in confident fashion, winning their first two games, and though they lost at West Brom last time out, several presentable chances were missed. LFC by contrast are languishing in the relegation zone. However, one needs a bit of perspective at a time like this.
