Having missed out on signing a forward on transfer deadline day, the Reds continue to be linked with Schalke's Dutch international Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, as Brendan Rodgers is certain to make every effort to boost his striking options in January. Huntelaar was frequently linked with Liverpool's biggest rivals Manchester United during his Ajax days, particularly when the targetman scored 33 times in 34 appearances in the 2007-08 Eredivisie seaason. After a rather disastrous move to Real Madrid, where the forward was omitted from their Champions League squad due to an oversight by the club, and an indifferent spell in Milan, Huntelaar has regained... 1. Theo Walcott – Whether he would choose to leave Arsenal for Liverpool remains to be seen, but will have only six months left of his current contract by January. 2. What can I say when asked about our season so far except to point out that the last time Liverpool got off to a start like this the Beatles were just getting ready to release “Love me do” in October of 1962. OK so we have signed Agger, Skrtel, and Suarez to new contracts yet we failed miserably when it came to transfers, and I do not think we will ever know who is to blame for not signing the American midfielder Clint Dempsey from Fulham. Here was a player that was relishing playing for the Reds, who’s jersey sales in North... Read more...

It seems an apparently crazy decision to have loaned out Andy Carroll and sign no replacement players whatsoever. In fact, it was the second of these decisions that was crazy, although Fenway Sports Group have understandably pointed to the £100 million that Kenny Dalglish spent on players, from which little return has been gleaned as of yet. Carroll was loaned out because, firstly, he does not and will never fit into Rodgers' preferred style of play or system. While the argument that Carroll offered a handy option off the bench is an understandable one, Fenway's are not likely to be overly... Read more...
